Community Centre

The Community Centre and the playing field is registered as a charity and has to be run in accordance with the Charity Commissioners Rules and Regulations. The Management Committee, is made up of twelve elected members, and representatives from all user groups. The Committee meets on the third Monday of each month.

We have an Administrator who runs the Centre on a daily basis and deals with all bookings.

Within the Centre we have a number of user groups who regularly use the facilities. There is also the Sports and Social Club who run the bar and contribute to the finances of the whole Centre. The Jubilee Players meet and rehearse here for their productions; and the Centre also provides a home for the Youth Club.

As a Committee our main aim is to raise the money needed to run the Centre and we have a number of money raising events during the year. Our main event is the annual Fete which is held on the playing field during July.

The committee also has a feasibility group which is considering the future of the centre. They have a number of options under consideration as to what is required for the future development of this important facility. They would however welcome any suggestions that haven’t been previously forwarded.
