On the Edge
Sunday 4th December
in the Church Room
starting at 11.00am
Coffee & chat - All welcome
From a recent survey, the question most people want an answer to is, “What will happen to me when I die?” Come along and join us as we consider this question, together with the idea of judgement and whether heaven & hell exist.
Men’s Breakfast

Speaker: Tony Fowler from Buxhall
There will be an offering to cover expenses
Please book places with Derek Ames
by Wednesday 16th November (Tel. 613328)
Tony was formerly Rector of Combs and Chaplain at Suffolk College. He now works as Chaplain at Blundeston Prison near Lowestoft. Come and hear him tell about some of his experiences.
Christmas Coffee Morning
The date for this event is Saturday, 26th November, in the Church Room from 10.30am – 12.30pm. All proceeds will go to the Church.
Please come along and meet friends, drink tea or coffee and treat yourself to some hot mince pies. There will be a number of stalls for you to do some early Christmas shopping.
We also need some help! Can you make a cake or cakes? Scones and other edible goodies will be welcome too. Perhaps you can donate raffle prize? Or perhaps support a bric-a-brac stall.
We know there will be Christmas puddings to buy or order and some games to entertain the children. If you have any items you wish to donate, please contact Carole Hearn - 736025 or Anne Moore – 676418.
Most of all – come along and join in the fun!
Wednesday Coffee Mornings
The weekly coffee morning begins again in the Church Room every Wednesday from 10.30am - 12 noon. The first one will be on 14th ffee September. All are welcome to come along for coffee/tea and biscuits with the opportunity to meet others in the village.
There is also a free book stall and a Fair Trade Stall where you can buy your fairly traded goods - tea, coffee, biscuits, honey, sweets, chocolate and much, much more.
We look forward to seeing you there.
Open Church
1st Sunday of the month 2.00-4.00pm
You've heard of 'open house', but how about 'open church'?
Starting in June, your village church will be open for you to enjoy the beautiful & peaceful surroundings, so why not: -
- come in for a break if you're out walking off that Sunday lunch
- bring your notepad and try some creative writing
- bring along that book you've been wanting to read
- bring your artists materials and do some sketching
- bring your musical instrument and take advantage of the acoustics (but remember there's no electricity!)
Or, just bring yourself and enjoy not having to do anything for a change.
