Trauma Teddies

Knit a ‘Trauma Teddy’

Copies of the knitting instructions for Trauma Teddies are available for all knitters with odds and ends of DK wool and a few moments to spare.   These little Teddies are about 9" high and take an hour or two to make.   Doctors who treat children in the Third World or war torn countries have found that children who have their own Teddies to cuddle in their cots get better quicker than those who don't have one.   Each child keeps their own Teddy and takes it home, so the doctors need a continual supply.   The instructions for these are quite free and completed Teddies can be collected together and then sent off to the organisers in Essex.
