Recycle a Goat!

Now we are in the MSDC wheelie bin bonanza, we are all busy recycling like mad, but how about recycling a goat? This dropped through a local door recently

For many in the third world food aid or cash is not the answer to their problems. Instead loan a goat to a needy person. The goat produces manure. This manure helps to grow better crops. The person’s health improves. The goat can produce more goats. Sell one to pay for education. Give another back to the original donor to pay off the loan. Start the cycle again but with their own goat and next time give a goat to a neighbour rather than the original donor. So the land improves, the person’s health improves, their knowledge improves, their country improves - all by recycling a goat.

Who pays for the first goat? You can, by giving Christian Aid £2 a month which will buy a goat in six months.

Contact them at P0 Box 100, London, SE1 7RT.
