The Sports and Social Club had a very busy December starting with the Christmas Club payout to thirty four members on the 3^rd. Anyone who wishes to save for next year is more than welcome to join. Money is collected on Friday nights in the Clubroom.

The Christmas Draw took place on Dec 18^th. Over 90 prizes were won by members who had purchased squares other the weeks leading up to the Draw.

Christmas Eve saw again lots of families from the villages and beyond enjoying the evening. A present was given to each child from Father Christmas who made a special stop just for us. A special thanks to Ben Simmonds who kept the children entertained with the disco.

On New Years Eve the Community Centre was filled with over 140 people celebrating the coming of 2005. Although this was a most enjoyable night, everyone was aware of the terrible tragedy that had occurred in Asia. With that in mind, a collection was made and money from the draw was donated to the appeal. During the evening £303.50 was raised. A big thank you to all who helped the evening go so well, from FLUID who kept us entertained all evening, the bar staff who kept us lubricated, all the ladies who helped prepare an excellent buffet and last, but not least, the people who got up early New Years Day (looking a bit worse for ware) and cleaned the Community Centre. Well done - another excellent evening enjoyed by everyone.
