Neighbourhood Watch

June 2005

onehousenw@hotmail.co.uk

Starting on 1st May, I have set up an email address devoted to Onehouse Neighbourhood Watch.

The idea behind it is to be able to send out crime reports for the areas in and around Onehouse and also any other relevant information that could be important to the villages.

As the OHSMag is only monthly I have found it difficult to relay up-to-date crime reports through it, as it is usually to late by the time it is printed, so I am hoping that the email system will help.

I know that not everyone has access to a computer, but the people that have can do their bit for Neighbourhood Watch by passing information on to friends and neighbours.

The setup is open to all three villages and I hope it will prove to be of some help to you all.

All you have to do is send me an email with your name and I will add you to my contacts, then just sit back and I will send out, once a month, crime reports for the area between Bury St Edmunds and Ipswich, plus any extra information as and when I get it.

The e-mail address is ........   onehousenw@hotmail.co.uk

This is a two way thing as well. If you know of anything that others may find useful, send it to me and I will forward it on to everyone in the system.

Please join in and help reduce crime in our villages. Peter Fishburne - NW Coordinator

Please note that if you have a Tesco account it may be better to open a separate address with Hotmail, as I have found some difficulty receiving mail from Tesco customers.

April 2005

There have been a number of recent incidents in neighbouring villages and in Stowmarket of distraction robberies, whereby one person distracts the homeowner whilst his or her accomplice enters the house and takes valuables. Older people are particularly vulnerable so please be very aware and do not let people into your home unless you know them, or they have positive identification.

Also there have been a number of thefts from sheds, mainly garden or electrical equipment – get yourself a shed alarm, available from your local police station priced around £8
