Taxibus Service
Suffolk County Council and Suffolk charity Rethink Disability provide a community transport service on for villages around Stowmarket. 'Club 88 Taxibus' is a service that anyone can use, provided by the County Council thanks to a successful bid for funding from the Government to improve public transport in rural areas.

The service is being run by Rethink Disability's 'Community Transport Service which provides several different services in the Mid Suffolk area. The taxibus is for everyone to use but the vehicle is also accessible for people with mobility problems.

The Taxibus will follow a scheduled route through Rattlesden, Buxhall, Harleston, Onehouse, Stowmarket, Stowupland, Greeting St Peter, Greeting St Mary, Greeting Bottoms, Little Stonham and Wetheringsett.

The timetable has been designed to allow connections at the Brewers Arms pub in Rattlesden, in both the morning and afternoon to enable an additional return journey from Stowmarket to Bury St Edmunds each day. Connections have also been provided at Little Stonham crossroads for return journeys from the villages to Ipswich or Diss.

The aim of the service is to allow people in these villages to connect with more major bus routes and to get to places like Stowmarket, Ipswich and Bury St Edmunds.

The timetable is designed to be fully integrated so that the taxibus drops passengers off at a stop before the connecting bus arrives. If you would like a copy of the full time-table contact Suffolk County Council on 01473 265061 or Rethink Disability on 01449 616000
